Ever since the unveil of Assassin’s Creed: Unity a while back for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, fans have been buzzing around the new changes coming to the series, particularly with the introduction of four player cooperative support. However, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners have been wondering about this “other” Assassin’s Creed adventure that would be announced – and when they would get it.
Today, Ubisoft confirmed the new adventure with the first information for Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, which will arrive on November 11 for the older consoles. It will be completely separate from other games in the series, and wrap up the “U.S. oriented” placement of characters, with this one taking place in New York, a s well as the Arctic.
This time around, the series will concentrate on a character from the Templar side named Shay Patrick Cormac, who decides to break free from the Brotherhood and instead begins hunting down Assassins. There’s no word as to why he’s performing these actions, although more is likely to be revealed when the game makes its official debut at Gamescom in Germany next week.
With a lot of companies shifting its development over to newer consoles, it’s nice to see Ubisoft provide some ample support for both sticking with older machines. What do you think Will you pick up Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, or save up money for Unity
