The PSP2 is something of an open secret right now in the gaming industry, but it still hasn’t been officially announced. Insiders indicate, however, that will end on January 27 in Tokyo when Sony shows off the device at a formal press event.
As has been widely indicated, publishers were apparently already informed of the device during 2010 and some games are already in development for it. This announcement could be timed to try and counter the growing hype for the upcoming Nintendo 3DS.
