The fourth installment in the slasher series, the official website for SCRE4M delivers a widescreen trailer and footage from the film right at the outset.  Once the trailer has ended, fans can view the official trailer, teaser trailer or sign up via e-mail to receive updates.  To progress deeper into the site, users are prompted to connect via Facebook.  Once connected the user encounters a prompt from Sidney Prescott, the Woodsboro resident who has been stalked by the horrifying Ghostface in previous films.  Fans can click on the add as friend link which opens a new window featuring a Facebook profile for Sidney.  Fans that want to interact with her can “Like” the page and jump in and respond to Sidney s ongoing conversation.  Back on the Facebook-connected site, fans can click on a wall and slash a profile pictures of their friends or a random member pulled from other connected SCRE4M fans.

Show Off Your Wimpiness

At an official URL destination attached to the official website for Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules, you can Wimp Yourself!  Create a shareable and downloadable avatar of yourself drawn in a simple black and white line drawing style.  Choose your sex and then make some choices of head type, hair style, type of eyes, nose, mouth and strap on a backpack or a cape to complete your avatar.  Upon completion watch the character animate through a series of moves – jot down a note, do a dance, scratch their behind or give a thumbs up as other avatars created by the community scroll by in the background each identified by an individual timestamp.  Export your creation {link no longer active} and save to a desktop or share to Facebook, Twitter, MySpace or Bebo.

Out now for the PlayStation 3, the mafia movie JRPG/brawler hybrid Yakuza 4 takes gamers on a ride through a rough and tumble red light district of a fictional area of Tokyo called Kamurocho.  In the downloads section on the official website, an exhaustive and deeply compelling Hustler Guide is available to familiarize gamers with what it takes to survive against both the mob and seduce the ladies.  Profiles and instructions on how to handle local tough guys, charm your way through the hostess clubs and maximize out each entertainment play spot throughout the district are peppered amongst advice on how to seduce the top hostesses and deliver a knockout punch to every known tough guy around using your best judo.  Assembled using in-game screenshots, references and gameplay assets, the Hustler Guide comes complete with a Kamurocho map revealing every corner of these dark and crime filled streets.

Be The Source Code

You have been recruited by Captain Colter Stevens to enter your Source Code.  In the Jake Gyllenhaal action sci-fi thriller Source Code, Stevens wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he is part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train.  Part of a government experiment called Source Code , he has 8 minutes to cross over into another man s body and prevent disaster.  Part of the official website for the film, you are given a mission to connect via Facebook and enter the Source Code and help Colter out.  Each user that connects must complete 5 tasks online to help reveal clues for each task category.  Once a task is completed, users receive a unique badge for their progress.  Each task requires user specific information, like posting a description of something directly in your line of sight or reveal something overheard in a nearby conversation.  To earn a badge, the user is prompted by an audio transmission to inform Captain Stevens via a post to their Facebook wall and reveal further details about their whereabouts (current city, etc.).  Progress through the campaign can be tracked back to an individual user profile with a unique URL where new friends can be recruited to join the mission.  Play on a smart phone using the Microsoft Tag Reader and scan tags to keep to play anywhere.

Facebook Fantasy Warfare

In anticipation of the launch of WWE All Stars for Xbox 360 and PS3, fans on the official WWE All Stars Facebook page can brawl their way through an ongoing Fantasy Warfare campaign and win exclusive virtual and in-game rewards.  Produced by THQ and the Ayzenberg Group, Fantasy Warfare pits today s greatest wrestlers like John Cena against legends like Hulk Hogan to win prizes and earn exclusive loot .  With each match up, participants view a bragging video of each character talking about their awesomeness.  When the video finishes, users jump into the ring and have to make a series of interactive choose your own adventure -type choices to determine how their wrestler will fight and deliver signature moves during the match.

Animation for each fight was taken directly from in-game capture resulting in a different fight every time that can be replayed multiple ways for varied effect.  After each fight has ended, special loot like wallpaper, ringtones and discounts on WWE merchandise is unlocked and made shareable to the user.  As new match ups were unlocked by the community the cumulative progressive sharing was monitored resulting in in-game DLC community content rewards!  Look out, the Honky Tonk Man is coming in April as the official WWE all-stars DLC character!

101 Musicians From 33 Countries: One YouTube Channel

101 musicians from 33 countries were chosen on YouTube to make up the YouTube Symphony Orchestra 2011 which converged on Sydney for a week long festival of musical collaboration.  A Grand Finale concert was streamed live on YouTube from Sydney Opera House.  Check out the multimedia extravaganza that features extraordinary projections on the interior Concert Hall and the exterior sails of the iconic Sydney Opera House.
