Available today for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS and 3DS, Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters has turned the web green in anticipation of launch. On the official webpage {link no longer active} , even the logos for the official Facebook and YouTube channels have been turned green! Each outlet features different views on the game taking the user deeper into understanding how the game plays on different consoles. On the Facebook page, a 3D energy viewer {link no longer active} lets fans scroll through 3D 360 energized screenshots in both SD and HD. On the Home destination tab, fans can choose to view 3D 360 screenshots or jump right into a power ring battle {link no longer active} with their friends. Choose from one of three constructs (blunt, projectile or sharp) similar to what Hal Jordan could conjure with his mind and challenge friends to a battle. Once a construct is chosen, the user must choose a friend to battle and a post is sent to their wall. Wins and losses are counted and a leaderboard keeps track of who is in the lead. On the official YouTube channel, a trailer for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game is featured in autoplay along with trailers for the DS version and the console versions of the game.
Back in April, EA Mobile took to the streets {link no longer active} and set up a life sized kiosk to demo Cut the Rope. Fans gathered at key locations around Hollywood Boulevard and at the Grove to check out the display. Even Darth Vader and the Easter Bunny {link no longer active} showed up!
In support of the popular Showtime series The Borgias, a historical interactive Facebook quiz {link no longer active} has been launched in anticipation of a social game to follow later in the series. The user receives six multiple choice questions each with four answers and must choose the correct answer before the time counts down to zero. Fans can play the quiz once per day and win prizes until the launch of the Borgias social game.
Relentless announced a pair of partnerships with Microsoft and Chillingo. Their Music in Motion will become part of the Kinect Fun Labs while iOS title Quiz Climber will be launched in partnership with publisher Chillingo in June 2011.

Michel Ancel has confirmed that Beyond Good & Evil 2 will not make it to this current generation of consoles. The game got put on hold while he worked on making Rayman Origins.
“It is still alive and we are very far [into] development so we can’t go back now,” he said. “We are targeting the next generation of consoles.”
Beyond Good & Evil is a cult classic that originally released on PS2, GCN, and Xbox, with 2011 seeing an HD remaster on Xbox Live and PSN.

The Sony was officially dubbed the NGP the PlayStation Vita. The portable console will come in two different pricing schemes – $249 for the Wi-Fi and $299 for the model with 3G/Wi-Fi.

Confirmed titles for the system include WipEout 2048, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, and Ruin. New features announced will include “Party” (allowing for text and voice chat with other users at any time) and the “Welcome Park” tutorial application teaching about the various features of the system.
E3 always has a number of vehicles on the premises of the L.A. Convention Center for a variety of reasons. The attention to detail is impressive, but it doesn’t usually get as awesome looking as Sweet Tooth’s ice cream truck.

Steve Jobs made a rare public appearance to speak at Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference. The main focus of his appearance was iCloud and of it Jobs said, “We’re going to demote the PC and the Mac to just be a device.”
“People have mobile phones, laptops, and tablets, and keeping all the data on them can be tricky. The solution for Apple is to move all the data into the iCloud.”
What the service will do exactly is save things like information, photos, music, and applications across apple devices. iCloud will be free and will come to Mac’s various OS products in Fall 2011, with automatic downloads for up to 10 other Apple devices.
Other announcements included iTunes Match giving cloud-sharing capabilities to music not purchased with iTunes for $24.99 annually. iOS also has greater integration with Twitter, letting users tweet photos, map locations, articles, and more with a single tap.

Majesco has announced that it has acquired Quick Hit as a move to increase its social game holdings. Jeffrey Anderson, founder and CEO of Quick Hit, will join the Majesco team as its Senior Vice President of Social Games and will help manage Cooking Mama Friends Cafe, Parking Wars 2 and Bananagrams, as well as unannounced social and mobile products currently in development.
“Social gaming is an exploding sector and our acquisition of Quick Hit allows us to take a leadership role in developing top free-to-play titles,” said Jesse Sutton, Chief Executive Officer, Majesco Entertainment. “We’ve always felt that having our own development team was critical to building the know-how needed to succeed in the social games market. I am ecstatic that we were able to land a group of this caliber and a seasoned executive in Jeff Anderson in such a competitive marketplace.”
